? Defensive end Brett Keisel did not practice Friday and will miss his third consecutive game when the Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Earlier in the week, coach Mike Tomlin said that Keisel, who injured his knee against Cincinnati on Nov. 20, had recovered enough to at least practice. But Keisel didn't practice all week. Keisel, who will miss his sixth game of the year because of injuries, didn't miss a game in his first two years as a starter.
? Travis Kirschke, who will start again in place of Keisel, recorded his first full sack of the season against Dallas, giving him 1.5 for the season. He has 36 tackles, five quarterback pressures and a fumble recovery in what has been his most productive season since joining the Steelers in 2004 as a free agent. "Playing more snaps gives you a better understanding of everything," he said. "You get more comfortable.''
? CB Deshea Townsend, who made three tackles and returned an interception 25 yards for the winning touchdown with 1:40 left in the Steelers' 20-13 win over Dallas, was named GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Week. Townsend was selected by a fan vote on NFL.com.
? LB James Harrison, who didn't practice Thursday because of a sore knee, returned yesterday, as did RB Carey Davis (calf). T Marvel Smith (back) is out.
