--Lynn Swann, who created the original "Swann-like" catch, did not call the Super Bowl game-winner by Santonio Holmes routine. But he did not think it belonged in a special category, although he called it "a terrific catch under pressure with a lot of people around him."
--"We've seen that catch a lot in the history of pro football," Swann said. "Raymond Berry and Fred Biletnikoff had a history of making that catch."
--The winning catch came on a play coordinator Bruce Arians called "62 Scat Flasher Z Level." It was designed for Hines Ward with RB Mewelde Moore as the checkdown receiver. Both were covered and Ben Roethlisberger threw it to Holmes, his third option.
"The throw was unbelievable," Arians said.
--LB James Farrior injured a groin and WR Nate Washington wore his shoulder in a sling after the Super Bowl. Neither, however, left the game.
--Coach Mike Tomlin expects no changes in his coaching staff for the second straight season, unless someone leaves on their own.
"Games like that usually create opportunities for people," Tomlin said. "I'm not naive. We'll see how that shakes out."
