PLAYER NOTES

--RB Mewelde Moore needs one reception to become the first Steelers back to catch 40 passes since Amos Zereoue caught 40 in 2003.

--WR Hines Ward's 75 receptions are his most since he had 80 in 2004. His current total is tied for ninth most in team history.

--FS Ryan Clark has re-injured his right shoulder, dislocated on Oct. 26, and may not play Sunday. He missed one game with his previous injury.

--LB James Harrison has a hip injury that could keep him out of Sunday's game. He has not missed a start the past two seasons.

--QB Byron Leftwich would make his first start with the Steelers if Ben Roethlisberger is rested on Sunday. Leftwich has not played since Nov. 3, when he played the second half for an injured Roethlisberger in Washington.

REPORT CARD VS. TITANS

PASSING OFFENSE: C-minus -- This part looks good: Ben Roethlisberger completed 26 of 40 for 331 yards and two touchdowns. However, he also threw two interceptions, was sacked five times and lost two fumbles, although one was on a scramble.

RUSHING OFFENSE: D -- The Steelers never lined a fullback in the backfield, going with a one-back offense most of the way, and there was little room for the backs to run. Willie Parker ran 18 times for 29 yards, half of them for either no gain or a loss. They ran 24 times for 71 yards, with 14 yards from three QB scrambles -- even though the Titans had two defensive linemen on the shelf.

PASS DEFENSE: C-minus -- The strong pass defense and pass rush vanished in Tennessee. Kerry Collins, operating under virtually no pressure, completed 20 of 29 for 216 yards, one touchdown, no interceptions and one sack. His passer rating of 102.1 was the first over 100 against the Steelers this season.

RUSH DEFENSE: C-minus -- Tennessee's tandem ran 31 times for 117 yards, and both Chris Johnson and LenDale White scored touchdowns -- Johnson on a 21-yard pitch and White in his patented 1-yard bull-run. The Titans were committed and effective on the ground.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C -- Jeff Reed missed a 33-yard field goal that would have tied the game at halftime. Another error occurred when lineman Chris Hoke was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for mimicking the snap count as the Titans lined up from the 4 on a field-goal attempt. The penalty gave them a first down, and Tennessee wound up scoring a touchdown. There were no returns of note on either side.

COACHING: D -- Something's gone terribly wrong on offense. The Steelers tried to run near the goal line for a first-quarter lead without once using a fullback, and from the 3, Parker was pushed backward twice for 4 yards in losses. Defensively, they blitzed only a handful of times, and Collins was never under pressure, sacked once while completing 69 percent of his passes.
