Description:
The long gas lines in the summer of 2008 sparked a voter revolt against the do-nothing politicians in Washington, DC. This spot for Tom Rooney, a member of the family who owns the six times Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, allowed him to capitalize on that anger. As a result of this ad Tom Rooney was only one of four Republicans to defeat a democrat incumbent member of Congress in 2008.

The XFL was a professional American football league that played for one season in 2001. The league was founded by Vince mcmahon, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation. The XFL was intended to be a major professional sports league complement to the offseason of the NFL, but failed to find an audience and folded after its first season. Eight teams were announced, three in cities with current NFL teams (New York/New Jersey, Chicago, and San Francisco) and the remaining five without (Las Vegas, Memphis, Orlando, Los Angeles, and Birmingham). Two divisions consisted of four teams each. The West comprised San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Memphis. The East consisted of New York/New Jersey, Chicago, Orlando, and Birmingham. Initially, the Demons were set to play in San Jose, California, but the stadium was deemed too small for the xfl's target attendance; the officials at Pac-Bell Park in San Francisco made the XFL an offer they couldn't refuse, and the Demons officially called San Francisco home. The Million Dollar Game was the xfl's championship game at the end of its only season in 2001. At first it had no special name, then was going to be called "The Big Game at the End," but eventually received the name it ended up with because a pot of one million dollars was to be split among the players of the winning team. The game was played on Saturday April 21, 2001 at the LA Memorial Coliseum. The game was between the Western Division champion Los Angeles Xtreme and ...

Super Bowl X was an American football game played on January 18, 1976 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion following the 1975 regular season. Super Bowl X was one of the classic matchups in Super Bowl history. Chuck Noll's Pittsburgh Steelers were back again, this time against Tom Landry's Dallas Cowboys. The game featured two of the games greatest quarterbacks in Terry Bradshaw and Roger Staubach, and two of the best defenses in the league. The American Football Conference (AFC) champion Pittsburgh Steelers (122) defeated the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Dallas Cowboys (104), 2117. This game featured a contrast of styles between the Steelers and the Cowboys, which were, at the time, the two most popular teams in the league. CBS televised the game in the United States with play-by-play announcer Pat Summerall (calling his first Super Bowl in that role) and color commentator Tom Brookshier. Towards the end of the game, Hank Stram took over for Brookshier, who had left the booth to head down to the locker room area to conduct the postgame interviews with the winning team. The overall theme of the Super Bowl entertainment was to celebrate the United States Bicentennial. Each Dallas and Pittsburgh player wore a special patch with the Bicentennial Logo on their jerseys. The Pittsburgh Steelers had won Super Bowl X, 21-17.
